अकस्मादेव वैदेह्या बाहुरेकः प्रकम्पते ।
करेणुहस्तप्रतिमः सव्यश्चोरुरनुत्तमः ।
वेपमानः सूचयति राघवं पुरतः स्थितम् ।

Akasmādeva vaidehyā bāhurekaḥ prakampate |
kareṇuhastapratimaḥ savyaścoruranuttamaḥ |
vepamānaḥ sūcayati rāghavaṃ purataḥ sthitam ॥5-27-50॥
Translation
Suddenly, Vaidehi's left arm began to throb. Furthermore, her exquisite left thigh, resembling the trunk of a female elephant, began to tremble, indicating that Raghava (Rama) was essentially standing right before her.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अचानक ही वैदेही (सीता) की एक भुजा (बाईं) फड़कने लगी। और हथिनी की सूंड के समान सुंदर उनकी बाईं जांघ भी फड़कने लगी, जो यह संकेत दे रही थी कि मानों श्री राम उनके सामने ही उपस्थित हैं।
English Commentary
The sequence of auspicious omens continues, reinforcing the inevitability of rescue. Sita’s body intuits Rama's proximity before her mind creates space for hope. The word akasmādeva (suddenly) emphasizes the involuntary, divine nature of these signs. In poetic tradition, the throbbing of the left thigh and arm for a woman symbolizes the imminent arrival of her husband. The verse beautifully suggests that the physical sensation of the omen was so powerful it served as a proxy for Rama's actual presence (purataḥ sthitam), preparing Sita for the turning point that is Hanuman's arrival.

शकुनों का क्रम यहाँ जारी है। माता सीता का शरीर श्री राम के आगमन को उनकी बुद्धि से पहले ही महसूस कर रहा है। यहाँ 'अकस्मादेव' (अचानक) शब्द का प्रयोग यह बताता है कि यह सीता के नियंत्रण में नहीं था, बल्कि एक दैवीय संकेत था। बाईं जांघ और बाहु का फड़कना स्त्री के लिए सौभाग्य और पति-समागम का सूचक है। कवि ने यहाँ यह भाव व्यक्त किया है कि इन अंगों का फड़कना सीता जी को वैसी ही अनुभूति दे रहा था, जैसी श्री राम के प्रत्यक्ष उपस्थित होने पर होती है। यह हनुमान जी के प्रकट होने से ठीक पहले की पूर्वपीठिका है।
