Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
कुमुद अन्गदयोः वा अपि सुषेणस्य महा कपेः ।
प्रसिद्धा इयम् भवेत् भूमिः मैन्द द्विविदयोः अपि ॥५-३-१५॥
kumuda angadayoḥ vā api suṣeṇasya mahā kapeḥ |
prasiddhā iyam bhavet bhūmiḥ mainda dvividayoḥ api ॥5-3-15॥
Translation
This land may be accessible (or conquerable) only to Kumuda, Angada, the great monkey Sushena, and also to Mainda and Dvivida.

यह भूमि (लंका) केवल कुमुद, अंगद, महाकपि सुषेण तथा मैन्द और द्विविद के लिए ही गम्य (पहुंचने योग्य या जीतने योग्य) हो सकती है।
English Commentary
Hanuman lists the elite special forces of the Vanara army. He identifies Kumuda, Angada, Sushena, Mainda, and Dvivida as the only ones capable of operating in this theater of war. These warriors possess distinct lineages and supernatural boons (e.g., Mainda and Dvivida have boons of invulnerability). By singling them out, Hanuman acknowledges that the upcoming battle is not for the rank and file, but a clash of titans. It is a strategic filtration of his own side's assets against the target's defenses.

हनुमान जी वानर सेना के शीर्ष योद्धाओं की सूची बना रहे हैं जो समुद्र पार कर लंका में युद्ध कर सकते हैं। कुमुद, अंगद (बाली पुत्र), सुषेण (तारा के पिता), और मैन्द-द्विविद (अश्विनी कुमारों के पुत्र)—ये सभी सामान्य वानर नहीं, बल्कि देव-अंश से उत्पन्न अतिरथी हैं। 'प्रसिद्धा इयम् भवेत् भूमिः' का अर्थ है कि यह स्थान केवल इन्हीं के पराक्रम के लिए उपयुक्त क्षेत्र बन सकता है। यहाँ हनुमान जी की विनम्रता देखिए, वे अभी स्वयं का नाम नहीं ले रहे, पहले अपने साथियों की क्षमता को याद कर रहे हैं।
