पुरस्तत्क पिवर्यस्य वायुसूनोरतिष्ठत ।
मुञ्चमाना महानादमब्रवीत्पवनात्मजम् ॥५-३-२२॥
purastatka pivaryasya vāyusūnoratiṣṭhata |
muñcamānā mahānādamabravītpavanātmajam ॥5-3-22॥
Translation
She stood before the best of monkeys, the son of the Wind, and releasing a loud roar, spoke to the son of the Wind.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह वानरश्रेष्ठ वायुपुत्र के सामने आ खड़ी हुई और भयंकर गर्जना (महानाद) करती हुई पवनपुत्र से बोली।
English Commentary
The confrontation is direct. Lanka physically blocks Hanuman's path. The 'mahanada' (great roar) is a psychological weapon intended to instill fear. This moment represents the final barrier before entering the field of action. Hanuman is referred to as 'Vayusunoh' (son of Wind), reminding the reader of his elemental power which will be necessary to counter this supernatural obstacle.

लंकिनी का हनुमान जी का मार्ग रोकना (पुरस्तात् अतिष्ठत) प्रतीकात्मक है। जब भी कोई जीव सत्य या ईश्वर की ओर बढ़ता है, तो 'माया' या 'अविद्या' विकराल रूप धरकर उसका मार्ग रोकती है। 'महानाद' (भयंकर गर्जना) का उद्देश्य हनुमान जी को भयभीत करना है। यहाँ हनुमान जी के लिए 'कपिवर्य' और 'वायुसूनो' विशेषणों का प्रयोग यह बताने के लिए किया गया है कि वे साधारण वानर नहीं हैं, बल्कि देवताओं के अंश हैं और इस चुनौती का सामना करने में सक्षम हैं।
