गृह्य शाखाः प्रशाखाश्च स्कन्धांश्चोत्तमशाखिनाम् ।
दृष्ट्वा विपरिधावन्तं भवेयुर्भयशङ्किताः ।
।
॥५-३०-२४॥
Gṛhya śākhāḥ praśākhāśca skandhāṃścottamaśākhinām । Dṛṣṭvā viparidhāvantaṃ bhaveyurbhayaśaṅkitāḥ । । ॥5-30-24॥
Translation
"Seeing me running around, grabbing the branches, twigs, and trunks of the excellent trees, they would become alarmed and suspicious."
हिंदी अनुवाद
वृक्षों की बड़ी और छोटी डालियों तथा तनों को पकड़कर इधर-उधर दौड़ते हुए मुझे देखकर वे (राक्षसियां) भयभीत और आशंकित हो जाएंगी।
English Commentary
Hanuman visualizes his evasion tactics—leaping between śākhāḥ (branches) and skandhān (trunks). While this agility is his strength, here he identifies it as a liability. Such supernatural agility would confirm to the guards that he is an intruder or a divine entity, not a wild animal. Their suspicion (śaṅkitāḥ) would lead to the raising of a general alarm across the city.
हिंदी टीका
हनुमान जी युद्ध के दृश्य की कल्पना कर रहे हैं। वानर होने के नाते उनकी युद्ध शैली वृक्षों और डालियों पर कूदना है। 'विपरिधावन्तं' (तेजी से इधर-उधर भागना) से राक्षसियों में अफरा-तफरी मच जाएगी। वे समझ जाएंगी कि यह कोई साधारण वानर नहीं है। यह 'आशंका' (Suspicion) ही बात को रावण तक पहुँचाने के लिए पर्याप्त होगी। हनुमान जी चाहते हैं कि उनकी उपस्थिति का पता तब तक न चले जब तक वे स्वयं न चाहें।
