मां वा गृह्णीयुराप्लुत्य बहवः शीघ्रकारिणः ।
स्यादियं चागृहीतार्था मम च ग्रहणं भवेत् ।
।
॥५-३०-२९॥
Māṃ vā gṛhṇīyurāplutya bahavaḥ śīghrakāriṇaḥ । Syādiyaṃ cāgṛhītārthā mama ca grahaṇaṃ bhavet । । ॥5-30-29॥
Translation
"Or, many swift-acting demons might jump and capture me. Then, I would be captured, and she (Sita) would remain unaware of my purpose (the message). That would be disastrous."

अथवा वे बहुत से शीघ्रगामी राक्षस उछलकर मुझे पकड़ लें। तब मेरा पकड़ लिया जाना और इस (सीता) का मेरे उद्देश्य (संदेश) को न जान पाना—ये दोनों अनर्थ हो जाएंगे।
English Commentary
The ultimate risk is identified here using the term agṛhītārthā (with the matter/meaning ungrasped). If the swift demons (śīghrakāriṇaḥ) capture him before he speaks, Sita will die without knowing that help is on the way. The physical capture of Hanuman is secondary; the failure of communication is the primary disaster. This realization cements his decision to use a subtle, non-intrusive method to approach her.

यह हनुमान जी के चिंतन का निष्कर्ष है और सबसे बड़ा भय है। दो अनर्थ एक साथ होंगे: 1. हनुमान का पकड़ा जाना, और 2. सीता का 'अगृहीतार्था' रह जाना (अर्थात उन्हें राम का संदेश न मिलना)। यदि हनुमान जी लड़ते हुए पकड़े गए, तो सीता को कभी पता नहीं चलेगा कि राम उन्हें खोज रहे हैं। वे निराशा में प्राण त्याग देंगी। 'अगृहीतार्था' शब्द इस पूरे तर्क का केंद्र बिंदु है—संदेश पहुँचाना युद्ध से अधिक महत्वपूर्ण है।
