विशस्ते वा गृहीते वा रक्षोभिर्मयि संयुगे ।
नान्यं पश्यामि रामस्य साहाय्यं कार्यसाधने ।

viśaste vā gṛhīte vā rakṣobhirmayi saṃyuge । nānyaṃ paśyāmi rāmasya sāhāyyaṃ kāryasādhane । । 5.30.32।। ॥5-30-32॥
Translation
If I am killed or captured by the Rakshasas in battle, I do not see any other helper capable of accomplishing Rama's task.

यदि युद्ध में राक्षसों ने मुझे मार डाला या बंदी बना लिया, तो मुझे श्री राम के कार्य को सिद्ध करने वाला (यहाँ तक पहुँचने वाला) कोई अन्य सहायक दिखाई नहीं देता।
English Commentary
This is not arrogance on Hanuman's part, but a realistic self-assessment. He knows how incredibly difficult it was to leap across the hundred-yojana ocean and infiltrate the Ashoka Vatika. While the Vanara army has mighty warriors like Angada and Sugriva, the unique capability for espionage required here rests solely with Hanuman. He worries that if he acts impulsively and gets captured, no information will ever return to Rama from Lanka, and the mission to find Sita will effectively end right here.

यह हनुमान जी का अहंकार नहीं, बल्कि यथार्थवादी आत्म-मूल्यांकन है। वे जानते हैं कि सौ योजन का समुद्र लांघकर यहाँ तक आना और अशोक वाटिका में घुसना कितना दुष्कर कार्य था। वानर सेना में अंगद और सुग्रीव जैसे वीर हैं, लेकिन दूत के रूप में गुप्तचरी करने की जो क्षमता हनुमान में है, वह अद्वितीय है। वे चिंतित हैं कि यदि वे आवेश में आकर पकड़े गए, तो लंका से कोई भी सूचना राम तक वापस नहीं जाएगी, और सीता जी की खोज का यह अभियान यहीं समाप्त हो जाएगा।
