Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
प्राणत्यागश्च वैदेह्या भवेदनभिभाषणे ।
एष दोषो महान् हि स्यान्मम सीताभिभाषणे ।

prāṇatyāgaśca vaidehyā bhavedanabhibhāṣaṇe । eṣa doṣo mahān hi syānmama sītābhibhāṣaṇe । । 5.30.36।। ॥5-30-36॥
Translation
If I do not speak to her, Vaidehi (Sita) might give up her life. However, there is also this great danger (of being discovered) in my speaking to Sita.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(दूसरी ओर) यदि मैं उनसे बात नहीं करता हूँ, तो वैदेही (सीता) प्राण त्याग सकती हैं। (परन्तु) मेरे सीता से बात करने में भी यह (राक्षसों द्वारा देखे जाने का) महान दोष है।
English Commentary
Hanuman is in a classic 'Dharma-sankata' (dilemma). If he remains silent and leaves, Sita might commit suicide out of despair (as she hinted in her talk with Trijata). If he speaks, he risks capture and mission failure. It is a "Catch-22" situation. On one side is the risk of inaction; on the other, the risk of action. Hanuman must navigate between these two perilous options to find a middle path that preserves both Sita’s life and the mission’s integrity.

हनुमान जी 'धर्मसंकट' (Dilemma) की चरम स्थिति में हैं। यदि वे चुप रहते हैं और लौट जाते हैं, तो सीता जी निराशा में आत्महत्या कर सकती हैं (जैसा उन्होंने त्रिजटा से बातचीत में संकेत दिया था)। यदि वे बात करते हैं, तो पकड़े जाने और मिशन के विफल होने का खतरा है। यह 'इधर कुआँ, उधर खाई' वाली स्थिति है। एक तरफ 'निष्क्रियता का जोखिम' है, दूसरी तरफ 'कार्य करने का जोखिम'। हनुमान जी को इन दोनों भयानक विकल्पों के बीच एक मध्यम मार्ग खोजना होगा जो सीता जी को भी बचाए और मिशन को भी।
