सुग्रीवेणापि सन्दिष्टा हरयः कामरूपिणः ।
दिक्षु सर्वासु तां देवीं विचिन्वन्ति सहस्रशः ।

sugrīveṇāpi sandiṣṭā harayaḥ kāmarūpiṇaḥ । dikṣu sarvāsu tāṃ devīṃ vicinvanti sahasraśaḥ । । 5.31.13।। ॥5-31-13॥
Translation
"By the order of Sugriva, thousands of shape-shifting monkeys are searching for that Goddess (Sita) in all directions."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"सुग्रीव के आदेश से हजारों कामरूपी (इच्छा अनुसार रूप बदलने वाले) वानर सब दिशाओं में उन देवी (सीता) को खोज रहे हैं।"
English Commentary
Sita has been feeling utterly abandoned and isolated in the Ashoka Vatika. Hanuman’s statement that 'thousands' of Vanaras are searching for her acts as a balm to her despair. It assures her that she has not been forgotten; a massive operation is underway to find her. The term 'kamarupinah' (shape-shifters) clarifies that these are not ordinary animals, but supernaturally gifted warriors capable of infiltrating any location.

सीता जी अशोक वाटिका में स्वयं को अत्यंत एकाकी और परित्यक्त महसूस कर रही थीं। हनुमान जी का यह कथन कि 'हजारों' (सहस्रशः) वानर उन्हें ढूँढ रहे हैं, उनके अकेलेपन के घाव पर मरहम का काम करता है। यह उन्हें बताता है कि वे भूली नहीं गई हैं; पूरी दुनिया उन्हें खोजने में लगी है। 'कामरूपिणः' शब्द यह स्पष्ट करता है कि ये वानर साधारण जानवर नहीं, बल्कि विशेष शक्तियों से संपन्न योद्धा हैं।
