अहं संपातिवचनाच्छतयोजनमायतम् ।
अस्या हेतोर्विशालाक्ष्याः सागरं वेगवान् प्लुतः ।

ahaṃ saṃpātivacanācchatayojanamāyatam । asyā hetorviśālākṣyāḥ sāgaraṃ vegavān plutaḥ । । 5.31.14।। ॥5-31-14॥
Translation
"Based on the words of Sampati, I have leapt across the hundred-yojana wide ocean with great speed for the sake of this broad-eyed lady."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"मैं सम्पाति (जटayu के भाई) के वचन (मार्गदर्शन) से, इन विशाल नेत्रों वाली (सीता) के लिए, सौ योजन चौड़े समुद्र को वेगपूर्वक लांघ आया हूँ।"
English Commentary
Hanuman is connecting the dots here. How did they know where to look? Through 'Sampati.' How did he get here? By 'leaping the ocean.' Why? For the sake of the 'broad-eyed one' (Sita). This verse establishes Hanuman’s dedication and valor. Using 'Vishalakshi' (broad-eyed), an epithet Rama often used for Sita, adds a touch of intimacy and authenticity to his narration, confirming he knows how Rama perceives her.

हनुमान जी यहाँ 'कनेक्टिंग डॉट्स' (कड़ियों को जोड़ना) कर रहे हैं। वे बताते हैं कि उन्हें पता कैसे चला? 'सम्पाति' के माध्यम से। वे यहाँ कैसे आए? 'समुद्र लांघकर'। क्यों आए? 'विशालाक्ष्याः हेतोः' (इन विशाल नेत्रों वाली सीता के लिए)। यह श्लोक हनुमान जी के समर्पण और पराक्रम को स्थापित करता है। 'विशालाक्षी' सीता का एक प्रिय विशेषण है, जो राम अक्सर उपयोग करते थे, जिससे कहानी में और अधिक आत्मीयता आती है।
