सा तिर्यगूर्ध्वं च तथाप्यधस्तान्निरीक्षमाणा तमचिन्त्यबुद्धिम् ।
ददर्श पिङ्गाधिपतेरमात्यं वातात्मजं सूर्यमिवोदयस्थम् ।

sā tiryagūrdhvaṃ ca tathāpyadhastānnirīkṣamāṇā tamacintyabuddhim । dadarśa piṅgādhipateramātyaṃ vātātmajaṃ sūryamivodayastham । । 5.31.19।। ॥5-31-19॥
Translation
"Looking obliquely, up, and down, she saw the minister of the Monkey King, the son of the Wind, of inconceivable intelligence, shining like the rising sun."

"तिरछी नज़र से, ऊपर और नीचे देखते हुए, उन्होंने (सीता ने) वानरराज के मंत्री, अचिन्त्य बुद्धि वाले (विलक्षण बुद्धिमान), वायुपुत्र हनुमान को उदय होते हुए सूर्य के समान देखा।"
English Commentary
Finally, Sita spots Hanuman. He is described as 'suryamiva udayastham' (like the rising sun). Just as the sun dispels darkness, Hanuman has appeared to dispel Sita's sorrow. The adjective 'achintyabuddhim' (of inconceivable intelligence) is significant—infiltrating this heavily guarded fortress required an intellect beyond imagination. This marks the first visual contact between Sita and Hanuman, a historic moment in the epic.

अंततः, सीता जी की नज़र हनुमान जी पर पड़ती है। हनुमान जी का वर्णन 'सूर्यमिवोदयस्थम्' (उगते सूरज की तरह) किया गया है। जैसे सूर्य अंधकार (शोक) को मिटाता है, वैसे ही हनुमान सीता के दुख को मिटाने आए हैं। 'अचिन्त्यबुद्धिम्' (जिसकी बुद्धि कल्पना से परे हो) विशेषण महत्वपूर्ण है—इतने रक्षकों के बीच अदृश्य रहकर यहाँ तक पहुँचना साधारण बुद्धि का काम नहीं था। यह सीता और हनुमान का पहला नेत्र-संपर्क (Visual Contact) है।
