तस्य सत्याभिसन्धस्य वृद्धस्य वचनात् पितुः ।
सभार्यः सह च भ्रात्रा वीरः प्रव्राजितो वनम् ।

tasya satyābhisandhasya vṛddhasya vacanāt pituḥ । sabhāryaḥ saha ca bhrātrā vīraḥ pravrājito vanam । । 5.31.8।। ॥5-31-8॥
Translation
"By the command of his truthful and aged father, that hero (Rama) went into exile in the forest, accompanied by his wife and brother."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"उन सत्यप्रतिज्ञ और वृद्ध पिता के वचन (आज्ञा) से, वे वीर (राम) अपनी पत्नी और भाई के साथ वन में चले आए (निर्वासित हुए)।"
English Commentary
This verse acts as an 'identity verification' for Sita. Hanuman mentions specific family events that only an insider would know. Hearing 'sabharyah' (with wife) confirms to Sita that this story is indeed about her and Rama. By describing the father as 'satyabhisandhasya' (bound by truth), Hanuman frames the exile not as a tragedy, but as a noble act of upholding Dharma.

यह श्लोक सीता जी के लिए 'पहचान पत्र' (Verification) की तरह है। हनुमान जी उन विशिष्ट पारिवारिक घटनाओं का उल्लेख कर रहे हैं जो केवल एक करीबी व्यक्ति ही जान सकता है। 'सभार्यः' (पत्नी सहित) शब्द सुनते ही सीता जी को विश्वास होने लगेगा कि यह कथा उन्हीं के बारे में है। 'सत्याभिसन्धस्य' (सत्य प्रतिज्ञा वाले) पिता का उल्लेख करके हनुमान जी वनवास को दुखद घटना के बजाय एक 'धर्मपालन' के रूप में प्रस्तुत कर रहे हैं।
