सा ददर्श कपिं तत्र प्रश्रितं प्रियवादिनम् ।
फुल्लाशोकोत्कराभासं तप्तचामीकरेक्षणम् ।

sā dadarśa kapiṃ tatra praśritaṃ priyavādinam । phullāśokoktarābhāsaṃ taptacāmīkarekṣaṇam । । 5.32.2।। ॥5-32-2॥
Translation
"She saw that monkey there, who was humble, speaking pleasantly, glowing like a cluster of blooming Ashoka flowers, with eyes like molten gold."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"उन्होंने वहाँ उस वानर को देखा जो विनम्र (प्रश्रित) था, प्रिय बोलने वाला था, खिले हुए अशोक के फूलों के ढेर जैसी आभा वाला और तपाये हुए सोने जैसी (चमकदार) आँखों वाला था।"
English Commentary
This verse combines Hanuman's physical radiance with his behavioral gentleness. He is 'prashritam' (humble), the mark of a true servant. Comparisons to 'blooming Ashoka flowers' suggest that he appeared beautiful and harmonious with the surroundings, not monstrous. His eyes were not red with rage, but like 'taptachamikara' (molten gold)—intense yet divine. This appearance was calculated to inspire trust rather than fear in Sita.

यह श्लोक हनुमान जी की शारीरिक सुंदरता और उनके व्यवहार की 'सौम्यता' को जोड़ता है। वे 'प्रश्रितं' (विनीत/झुके हुए) हैं, जो एक सेवक का लक्षण है। उनकी तुलना 'फुल्लाशोक के फूलों' से की गई है, जिसका अर्थ है कि वे उस वातावरण में डरावने नहीं, बल्कि सुंदर लग रहे थे। उनकी आँखें लाल (क्रोधित) नहीं, बल्कि 'तप्तचामीकर' (तपाये हुए कुंदन) जैसी तेजस्वी थीं। यह रूप सीता जी के मन में भय के बजाय विश्वास जगाने वाला था।
