सो ऽवतीर्य द्रुमात्तस्माद्विद्रुमप्रतिमाननः ।
विनीतवेषः कृपणः प्रणिपत्योपसृत्य च ।

So 'vatīrya drumāttasmādvidrumapratimānanaḥ । Vinītaveṣaḥ kṛpaṇaḥ praṇipatyopasṛtya ca । 。 ॥5-33-1॥
Translation
He (Hanuman), whose face was red like coral, descended from that tree. Assuming a humble and meek guise, he approached her and offered his salutations (bowed down).
हिंदी अनुवाद
मूंगा (विद्रुम) के समान लाल मुख वाले वे हनुमान उस वृक्ष से नीचे उतरकर, अत्यंत दीन (विनीत) वेश धारण कर, (सीता जी के) पास गए और उन्हें प्रणाम किया।
English Commentary
Hanuman's face is described as 'Vidruma-pratimanana' (red like coral), characteristic of his monkey form. However, his approach is strategic. The word 'Kripana' here connotes a 'wretched' or 'meek' appearance, not misery. He intentionally adopts a non-threatening, submissive posture to avoid terrifying the already traumatized Sita. This transition from the hidden observer in the tree to a humble servant bowing on the ground sets the stage for trust.

हनुमान जी का 'विद्रुम' (मूंगा) जैसा मुख उनके वानर रूप की स्वाभाविकता को दर्शाता है, किन्तु उनका व्यवहार अत्यंत संयमित है। यहाँ 'कृपण' शब्द का अर्थ कंजूस नहीं, बल्कि 'दीन' या 'अत्यंत नम्र' है। सीता जी डरी हुई थीं, इसलिए उन्हें भयमुक्त करने के लिए हनुमान जी ने जानबूझकर ऐसा वेश बनाया जो कतई आक्रामक न लगे। एक महाशक्तिशाली योद्धा का एक असहाय नारी के सामने इतना झुकना और विनीत होना उनकी महानता और स्थिति की संवेदनशीलता को दर्शाता है।
