तत्र त्रयोदशे वर्षे राज्येनेक्ष्वाकुनन्दनम् ।
अभिषेचयितुं राजा सोपाध्यायः प्रचक्रमे ।

Tatra trayodaśe varṣe rājyenekṣvākunandanam |
Abhiṣecayituṃ rājā sopādhyāyaḥ pracakrame ॥5-33-19॥
Translation
In the thirteenth year there, the King, along with the preceptors, undertook the preparations to consecrate the delight of the Ikshvakus (Rama) for the kingdom.

वहाँ (विवाह के बाद) तेरहवें वर्ष में राजा (दशरथ) ने राजगुरुओं सहित इक्ष्वाकुनन्दन (राम) का राज्याभिषेक करने का उपक्रम किया।
English Commentary
Sita narrates the turning point of her life. The 'thirteenth year' refers to the year following her twelve years of happiness in Ayodhya. King Dasharatha, along with the royal priests (upadhyayas), initiated the coronation rituals for Rama. The epithet Ikshvaku-nandanam (delight of the Ikshvakus) captures the mood of joy and anticipation that pervaded the kingdom. This verse sets the stage for the upcoming tragedy, marking the peak of their fortune just before the catastrophic fall caused by Kaikeyi’s intervention.

सीता जी अब अपने जीवन के उस मोड़ का वर्णन करती हैं जहाँ से सब कुछ बदल गया। 'तेरहवें वर्ष' का अर्थ है विवाह के बाद के बारह वर्ष सुख से बीतने के उपरांत। राजा दशरथ ने कुलगुरु वशिष्ठ और अन्य ब्राह्मणों (सोपाध्यायः) के साथ मिलकर राम के राज्याभिषेक की तैयारी शुरू की। 'इक्ष्वाकुनन्दन' शब्द का प्रयोग राम के लिए किया गया है, जिसका अर्थ है 'इक्ष्वाकु कुल का आनंद'। यह शब्द उस समय की प्रजा और परिवार की प्रसन्नता को दर्शाता है, जो अभिषेक की खबर से उत्साहित थे। यह शांति से तूफान की ओर बढ़ने वाला क्षण है।
