का त्वं भवसि रुद्राणां मरुतां वा वरानने ।
वसूनां वा वरारोहे देवता प्रतिभासे मे ।

Kā tvaṃ bhavasi Rudrāṇāṃ Marutāṃ vā varānane । Vasūnāṃ vā varārohe devatā pratibhāse me । 。 ॥5-33-6॥
Translation
O one with a beautiful face! Are you one of the Rudras, the Maruts, or the Vasus? O one with beautiful hips! You appear to me as a deity.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे श्रेष्ठ मुख वाली! तुम ग्यारह रुद्रों, मरुद्गणों, अथवा आठ वसुओं में से कौन हो? हे सुंदर अंगों वाली! तुम मुझे देवता सी प्रतीत होती हो।
English Commentary
Continuing the divine comparison, Hanuman lists specific Vedic deity groups (Rudras, Maruts, Vasus). He explicitly states, 'You appear to me as a deity.' This is crucial for establishing a respectful rapport. While Ravana looks at Sita with lust, Hanuman looks at her with reverence. The address 'Varanane' (excellent face) and 'Vararohe' (excellent hips/waist) acknowledges her physical perfection fitting for a goddess.

हनुमान जी अपनी बात को पुष्ट करते हैं। रुद्र, मरुत और वसु वैदिक देवता हैं। सीता जी की तुलना इनसे करना उन्हें सर्वोच्च स्थान देना है। 'देवता प्रतिभासे मे' (मुझे तुम देवता सी लगती हो)—यह वाक्य सीता जी के चरित्र की शुद्धता का प्रमाण पत्र है। जहाँ रावण उन्हें भोग्या समझता है, वहाँ हनुमान उन्हें देवी (पूजनीया) के रूप में देखते हैं। यह दृष्टि का अंतर ही भक्त और कामुक का अंतर है।
