किन्नु चन्द्रमसा हीना पतिता विबुधालयात् ।
रोहिणी ज्योतिषां श्रेष्ठा श्रेष्ठसर्वगुणान्विता ।

Kinnu candramasā hīnā patitā vibudhālayāt । Rohiṇī jyotiṣāṃ śreṣṭhā śreṣṭhasarvaguṇānvitā । 。 ॥5-33-7॥
Translation
Are you Rohini, the best of stars, endued with all the best qualities, fallen from the abode of gods, having been separated from the Moon?

क्या तुम सर्वश्रेष्ठ गुणों से युक्त, नक्षत्रों में श्रेष्ठ वह 'रोहिणी' हो, जो चन्द्रमा से बिछड़कर देवलोक (आकाश) से गिर पड़ी है?
English Commentary
This analogy strikes a deep chord. Rohini is the favorite consort of the Moon God, representing the perfect wife. By asking if she is Rohini separated from the Moon, Hanuman subtly alludes to her separation from Rama (often compared to the Moon). It suggests that her rightful place is in the heavens (royalty/happiness), and her current state is like a fallen star—displaced and dim without its source of light.

यह एक मार्मिक उपमा है। रोहिणी और चन्द्रमा का प्रेम अटूट माना जाता है। सीता को 'रोहिणी' और राम को 'चन्द्रमा' (परोक्ष रूप से) कहकर हनुमान जी ने उनके वियोग की गहराई को छू लिया है। 'पतिता' (गिरी हुई) शब्द यहाँ अपमान नहीं, बल्कि उस स्थिति का वर्णन है जहाँ व्यक्ति अपने उच्च स्थान (अयोध्या/सुख) से गिरकर कष्ट में आ पड़ा हो। यह प्रश्न सीता के ह्रदय के उस घाव को सहलाता है जो पति-वियोग से मिला है।
