किन्नु स्याच्चित्तमोहो ऽयं भवेद्वातगतिस्त्वियम् ।
उन्मादजो विकारो वा स्यादियं मृगतृष्णिका ।

॥५-३४-२३॥
Kinnu syāccittamho 'yaṃ bhavedvātagatistviyam । Unmādajo vikāro vā syādiyaṃ mṛgatṛṣṇikā । । ॥5-34-23॥
Translation
Could this be a delusion of my mind? Or is it an imbalance of the wind humor (Vata)? Or is it a disorder born of madness? Or is this a mirage?

क्या यह मेरे चित्त का मोह (भ्रम) है? या यह वात दोष का प्रकोप है? या यह उन्माद से उत्पन्न कोई विकार (पागलपन) है? अथवा यह कोई मृगतृष्णा (Mirage) है?
English Commentary
Sita questions her sanity. She lists potential causes for hallucination: Chitta-moha (mental delusion), Vata-gati (physiological imbalance of the wind humor, believed to cause mania in Ayurveda), Unmada (madness/insanity), or Mrigatrishnika (optical illusion/mirage). This listing shows her deep fear that her mind has finally snapped under the pressure of grief, creating a comforting projection of a messenger where none exists.
