बाहुच्छायामवष्टब्धो यस्य लोको महात्मनः ।
॥५-३४-३१॥
Bahucchayamavashtabdho yasya loko mahatmanah ॥5-34-31॥
Translation
That high-souled one (Rama), upon the shadow of whose arms (protection) the entire world relies for support.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जिन महात्मा (श्रीराम) की भुजाओं की छाया (संरक्षण) का आश्रय यह संपूर्ण विश्व लेता है।
English Commentary
Hanuman elevates Rama from a mere husband to a universal protector. The imagery of the world resting in the 'shadow of his arms' signifies absolute safety and refuge. This is a powerful message for Sita, who currently feels vulnerable and unprotected. Hanuman implies that Rama’s duty involves protecting the righteous, and since Sita is the embodiment of righteousness, the same arms that support the world will inevitably reach out to rescue her.

यह श्लोक श्रीराम की व्यापक शक्ति और रक्षक के रूप में उनकी भूमिका को दर्शाता है। 'बाहुच्छाया' का अर्थ है उनकी भुजाओं का संरक्षण। हनुमान जी कह रहे हैं कि यदि सारा संसार राम की शरण में सुरक्षित महसूस करता है, तो सीता जी को भयभीत होने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। यह सीता जी को याद दिलाने का प्रयास है कि उनके पति केवल एक राजकुमार नहीं, बल्कि 'महात्मा' और जगत के रक्षक हैं। जब पूरा विश्व उन पर निर्भर है, तो वे अपनी पत्नी की रक्षा अवश्य करेंगे।
