Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
यजुर्वेदविनीतश्च वेदविद्भिः सुपूजितः ।
धनुर्वेदे च वेदेषु वेदाङ्गेषु च निष्ठितः ।
।
॥५-३५-१४॥
Yajurvedavinītaśca vedavidbhiḥ supūjitaḥ |
Dhanurvede ca vedeṣu vedāṅgeṣu ca niṣṭhitaḥ ॥5-35-14॥
Translation
He is an expert in the Yajur Veda and is highly honoured by the knowers of the Vedas. He is accomplished in the science of archery (Dhanur Veda), as well as in all the Vedas and the Vedangas (auxiliary disciplines).

वे यजुर्वेद के अभ्यास में विनीत (पारंगत) हैं और वेद के जानकारों द्वारा अत्यंत सम्मानित हैं। वे धनुर्वेद, अन्य वेदों और वेदांगों में भी पूर्ण निष्ठा (विशेषज्ञता) रखते हैं।
English Commentary
Here, Hanuman emphasizes Rama's intellectual and martial perfection. Proficiency in the Yajur Veda is highlighted as it pertains to the performance of sacrifices, a key duty of a righteous King. Being honored by other Vedic scholars proves his mastery is not superficial. Crucially, he is equally expert in Dhanur Veda (the science of warfare/archery) and the Vedangas (grammar, astronomy, etc.). This portrays Rama as the complete Aryan ideal: a scholar-warrior who upholds Dharma through both ritual correctness and martial strength.

श्री राम की शिक्षा-दीक्षा की पूर्णता यहाँ व्यक्त की गई है। यजुर्वेद यज्ञ और कर्मकांड का वेद है, जो एक क्षत्रिय राजा के लिए आवश्यक है ताकि वह धर्मानुसार यज्ञ कर सके। किन्तु, केवल शास्त्र ही नहीं, वे 'धनुर्वेद' (युद्ध कला) में भी उतने ही पारंगत हैं। 'वेदविद्भिः सुपूजितः' दर्शाता है कि उनकी विद्वता इतनी गहरी है कि स्वयं विद्वान भी उनका आदर करते हैं। हनुमान जी यहाँ यह स्थापित कर रहे हैं कि राम केवल बलवान ही नहीं, बल्कि एक प्रबुद्ध और शास्त्र-सम्मत जीवन जीने वाले महापुरुष हैं, जो धर्म और युद्ध दोनों के ज्ञाता हैं।
