क्व ते रामेण संसर्गः कथं जानासि लक्ष्मणम् ।
वानराणां नराणां च कथमासीत् समागमः ।

Where did your contact with Rama take place? How do you know Lakshmana? And how did this union between Vanaras and Men come about?

तुम्हारा राम के साथ संपर्क कहाँ हुआ? तुम लक्ष्मण को कैसे जानते हो? और वानरों तथा मनुष्यों का यह मिलन (गठबंधन) कैसे संभव हुआ?
English Commentary
Sita displays her sharp intellect here. Instead of blindly accepting Hanuman, she asks for the specific context of the alliance. The interaction between humans (Nara) and monkeys (Vanara) is unusual, and she rightly questions the plausibility of such a coalition ('Samagamah'). By asking 'How' and 'Where', she demands a narrative that aligns with reality, ensuring that this messenger isn't just a shapeshifting demon making up vague stories. It is the final test of Hanuman's authenticity.
