सत्यधर्मपरः श्रीमान् संग्रहानुग्रहे रतः ।
देशकालविभागज्ञः सर्वलोकप्रियंवदः ।
।
॥५-३५-२१॥
Satyadharmaparaḥ śrīmān saṃgrahānugrahe rataḥ |
Deśakālavibhāgajñaḥ sarvalokapriyaṃvadaḥ ॥5-35-21॥
Translation
He is devoted to Truth and Righteousness, and is possessed of prosperity. He is intent on gathering (merit/friends) and bestowing favours. He knows the proper division of place and time (strategy), and he speaks pleasantly to all the world.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे सत्य और धर्म में तत्पर रहते हैं और श्री (लक्ष्मी/शोभा) से संपन्न हैं। वे (सज्जनों के) संग्रह और (दीनों पर) अनुग्रह करने में लगे रहते हैं। वे देश और काल के विभाग को जानने वाले हैं तथा सभी लोगों से प्रिय बोलने वाले हैं।
English Commentary
Hanuman returns to Rama's character to cement the recognition. Satyadharmaparah defines Rama's very existence. Sangrahanugrahe ratah explains his current strategy: gathering allies (Vanaras) and showing grace to those who seek refuge. Deshakalavibhagajnah portrays him as a master strategist who knows the right time and place for action. The epithet Sarvalokapriyamvadah (one who speaks pleasantly to the whole world) captures Rama's magnetic charm; he never speaks harshly, a trait Sita knows intimately.

शारीरिक वर्णन के बाद हनुमान जी पुनः राम के गुणों पर आते हैं। 'सत्यधर्मपरः' राम का मूल मंत्र है। 'संग्रहानुग्रहे रतः' का अर्थ है कि वे अच्छे लोगों को अपने साथ जोड़ते हैं और आश्रितों पर कृपा करते हैं—विभीषण और सुग्रीव इसके प्रमाण हैं। 'देशकालविभागज्ञः'—वे जानते हैं कि किस स्थान और किस समय पर क्या करना उचित है (युद्ध या संधि)। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण है 'सर्वलोकप्रियंवदः'—वे सबसे, चाहे वह शत्रु हो या मित्र, मधुर वाणी में ही बात करते हैं। यह गुण सीता को राम के सौम्य व्यवहार की याद दिलाता है।
