ततस्त्वद्गात्रशोभीनि रक्षसा ह्रियमाणया ।
यान्याभरणजालानि पातितानि महीतले ।

Tatastvadgātraśobhīni rakṣasā hriyamāṇayā |
yānyābharaṇajālāni pātitāni mahītale ॥5-35-37॥
Translation
Then, reference was made to those sets of ornaments that used to adorn your limbs, which you dropped onto the earth while being abducted by the Rakshasa.

English Commentary
Hanuman brings up the physical evidence that connected the search party to Sita. He refers to the jewelry she dropped from the sky while being abducted by Ravana. By recalling this specific event, Hanuman confirms to Sita that her quick thinking during that traumatic moment was not in vain. The ornaments served as the vital link ('breadcrumbs') that eventually led Rama to ally with Sugriva. This verse bridges the gap between Sita's desperate act in the past and the current hope of rescue.
