तानि सर्वाणि रामाय आनीय हरियूथपाः ।
संहृष्टा दर्शयामासुर्गतिं तु न विदुस्तव ।
।

Tāni sarvāṇi rāmāya ānīya hariyūthapāḥ |
saṃhṛṣṭā darśayāmāsurgatiṃ tu na vidustava ॥5-35-38॥
Translation
The monkey leaders brought all those ornaments and showed them to Rama with joy (hoping to be of service), although they did not know your whereabouts or path.

वानर यूथपतियों ने वे सभी आभूषण लाकर प्रसन्नतापूर्वक राम को दिखाए, यद्यपि वे यह नहीं जानते थे कि आप किस दिशा या स्थान पर गयी हैं।
English Commentary
This verse captures the mixture of hope and ignorance among the Vanaras. The monkey leaders were saṃhṛṣṭā (overjoyed) to present the jewelry to Rama, believing that finding these clues was a significant breakthrough that would please him. However, Hanuman clarifies that despite having the ornaments, they still did not know Sita's gatim (path or location). It highlights the irony that they held the tokens of Sita's presence but were still clueless about her actual prison, underscoring the difficulty of the search that followed.

यहाँ वानरों की मनोविज्ञान दशा का वर्णन है। वे 'संहृष्टा' (अत्यंत प्रसन्न) थे, इसलिए नहीं कि सीता का हरण हुआ था, बल्कि इसलिए कि उनके पास राम की सहायता करने के लिए कुछ प्रमाण था। उन्हें लगा कि ये आभूषण दिखाकर वे राम के दुख को कुछ कम कर सकेंगे या कम से कम उन्हें सही दिशा का संकेत दे पाएंगे। किन्तु हनुमान स्पष्ट करते हैं कि उस समय तक उन्हें सीता की 'गतिं' (स्थान/दिशा) का ज्ञान नहीं था। यह श्लोक उस समय की अनिश्चितता और वानरों की सेवा भावना को दर्शाता है।
