स तवादर्शनादार्ये राघवः परितप्यते ।
महता ज्वलता नित्यमग्निनेवाग्निपर्वतः ।
।
॥५-३५-४४॥
Sa tavādarśanādārye rāghavaḥ paritapyate |
mahatā jvalatā nityamagninevāgniparvataḥ ॥5-35-44॥
Translation
O Noble Lady, due to not seeing you, Raghava is constantly tormented/burning, just as a volcano burns with a great, ever-burning fire.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे आर्ये! आपके दर्शन न होने के कारण राघव उसी प्रकार नित्य संतप्त रहते हैं (जलते रहते हैं), जैसे महान प्रज्वलित अग्नि से ज्वालामुखी पर्वत।
English Commentary
Addressing Sita respectfully as Arye, Hanuman describes Rama's current state using the powerful metaphor of an agniparvata (fire-mountain/volcano). Just as a volcano contains intense heat and fire within, Rama is consumed internally by the grief of separation. The word nityam (constantly/always) highlights that there is no respite for him. This vivid imagery assures Sita that although Rama is not physically with her, his suffering is as intense and explosive as the fire of a volcano.
हिंदी टीका
हनुमान जी अब वर्तमान काल में राम की स्थिति बता रहे हैं। वह सीता को 'आर्ये' (श्रेष्ठ नारी) कहकर संबोधित करते हैं। राम के आंतरिक कष्ट के लिए एक बहुत शक्तिशाली उपमा दी गई है—'अग्निपर्वत' (ज्वालामुखी)। जैसे ज्वालामुखी बाहर से शांत दिख सकता है लेकिन उसके अंदर लाुवा धधकता रहता है, वैसे ही राम बाहर से धीर-गंभीर हैं, लेकिन उनके हृदय में विरह की 'महता अग्नि' (महान आग) नित्य जल रही है। यह उपमा राम के संयम और उनकी पीड़ा, दोनों को एक साथ व्यक्त करती है।
