एवमुक्तस्तु वैदेह्या हनुमान् मारुतात्मजः ।
ततो रामं यथात्त्वमाख्यातुमुपचक्रमे ।

Evamuktastu vaidehya hanuman marutat majah |
Tato ramam yathatattvamakhyatumupachakrame ॥5-35-5॥
Translation
Thus addressed by Vaidehi, Hanuman, the son of the Wind God, began to describe Rama exactly as he is in reality.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वैदेही (सीता) के द्वारा इस प्रकार कहे जाने पर, वायुपुत्र हनुमान ने राम का यथार्थ (जैसा वे वास्तव में हैं) वर्णन करना आरम्भ किया।
English Commentary
This narrative bridge sets the stage for one of the most beautiful descriptions in the Ramayana. Hanuman is identified as 'Marutatmjah', implying he possesses the speed and power of the wind, but here he uses his intellect. The term 'Yathatattvam' asserts that the description will be factual and accurate, not hyperbolic flattery. He is about to present a realistic portrait of the Avatar, verifying his intimate knowledge of Rama to satisfy Sita's queries.

यह श्लोक संवाद की भूमिका है। 'मारुतात्मजः' (वायुपुत्र) विशेषण हनुमान की वाक्पटुता और बुद्धि की तीव्रता का संकेत देता है। 'यथात्त्वम्' (यथार्थ/सच-सच) शब्द अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। इसका अर्थ है कि हनुमान जी कोई बढ़ा-चढ़ाकर स्तुति नहीं करेंगे, बल्कि वैसा ही वर्णन करेंगे जैसा उन्होंने राम को देखा है। यह सत्यनिष्ठा दूत का सबसे बड़ा गुण है। अब हनुमान जी राम के नख-शिख वर्णन के लिए तैयार हैं।
