कुशली तव काकुत्स्थः सर्वशस्त्रभृतां वरः ।
गुरोराराधने युक्तो लक्ष्मणश्च सुलक्षणः ।

५.३५.७४।। ॥५-३५-७४॥
kuśalī tava kākutsthaḥ sarvaśastrabhṛtāṃ varaḥ |
gurorārādhane yukto lakṣmaṇaśca sulakṣaṇaḥ ॥5-35-74॥
Translation
Kakutstha (Rama), the best among all wielders of weapons, is well. And Lakshmana, endowed with auspicious marks and dedicated to the service of his brother (Guru), is also well.

समस्त शस्त्रधारियों में श्रेष्ठ आपके (पति) काकुत्स्थ (राम) सकुशल हैं। और गुरु (बड़े भाई) की सेवा में तत्पर रहने वाले शुभ लक्षणों से युक्त लक्ष्मण भी कुशल हैं।
English Commentary
This verse delivers the intelligence Sita desires most: the welfare of her husband and brother-in-law. Hanuman describes Rama as "Kushali" (doing well) and uses the epithet "Sarva-shastra-bhritam varah" (best among weapon wielders). This martial description is strategic; it reassures Sita not just of Rama's health, but of his capacity to defeat her captors. Lakshmana is described through his defining trait: "Guror-aradhane yuktah" (engaged in the service of his superior/brother). This confirms that the bond between the brothers remains intact. The term "Sulakshanah" (one with good marks/characteristics) for Lakshmana reinforces his nobility and righteous nature.
