मयेयमसहायेन चरता कामरूपिणा ।
दक्षिणा दिगनुक्रान्ता त्वन्मार्गविचयैषिणा ।

mayeyamasahāyena caratā kāmarūpiṇā |
dakṣiṇā diganukrāntā tvanmārgavicayaiṣiṇā ॥5-35-76॥
Translation
Roaming without assistance, capable of changing form at will, I have traversed this southern direction, desiring to search for your path.

इच्छानुसार रूप धारण करने वाले (कामरूपिणा) और बिना किसी सहायता के विचरते हुए मुझ अकेले ने, आपकी खोज करने की इच्छा से, इस दक्षिण दिशा को लांघा है।
English Commentary
Hanuman explains the mechanics of his success. Being "Kamarupina" (a shape-shifter) explains how he could bypass physical and surveillance barriers to reach her. The word "asahayena" (without assistance/helpless) emphasizes the solitary nature of his reconnaissance mission, magnifying the danger he faced. His motivation is singular: "tvan-marga-vichaya-eshina" (desiring to search for your path/trace). By stating he has traversed the southern direction solely to find her, he validates the immense effort and risk undertaken just to establish contact.

हनुमान जी बताते हैं कि उन्होंने यह असंभव कार्य कैसे किया। 'कामरूपिणा' (इच्छानुसार रूप बदलने वाला) शब्द उनके लंका में प्रवेश करने की विधि (सूक्ष्म रूप) और समुद्र लांघने की विधि (विराट रूप) की व्याख्या करता है। 'असहायेन' (सहायता रहित) यह दर्शाता है कि यह उनकी व्यक्तिगत उपलब्धि है। 'त्वन्मार्गविचयैषिणा' का अर्थ है कि उनकी यात्रा का एकमात्र उद्देश्य सीता के मार्ग या स्थान को खोजना था। उन्होंने दक्षिण दिशा को 'अनुक्रान्ता' (पूरी तरह पार किया/लांघा) है, जो उनकी दृढ़ता और संकल्प का प्रमाण है।
