भूय एव महातेजा हनुमान् मारुतात्मजः ।
अब्रवीत् प्रश्रितं वाक्यं सीताप्रत्ययकारणात् ।
।
॥५-३६-१॥
Bhūya eva mahātejā hanumāan mārutātmajaḥ । Abravīt praśritaṃ vākyaṃ sītāpratyayakāraṇāt । । ॥5-36-1॥
Translation
The greatly radiant Hanuman, son of the wind, spoke polite words again to create (further) confidence in Sita.
हिंदी अनुवाद
महान तेज वाले वायुपुत्र हनुमान ने सीता के (पूर्ण) विश्वास के लिए पुनः विनम्रतापूर्वक यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
Even though verbal trust was established, Hanuman aims to cement it with tangible proof. The verse describes him as 'Mahateja' (of great radiance/energy) yet speaking 'prashritam' (humbly/politely). This contrast highlights his character: powerful against enemies but gentle and respectful towards Sita. The phrase 'Sita-pratyaya-karanat' (for the purpose of causing confidence in Sita) indicates that his subsequent action (showing the ring) is a calculated move to remove the last vestige of doubt. He acts with emotional intelligence, understanding the depth of her trauma and suspicion.

यद्यपि सीता जी को हनुमान पर विश्वास हो गया था, फिर भी हनुमान जी उस विश्वास को सुदृढ़ करने के लिए और अन्तिम प्रमाण (अंगूठी) देने के लिए पुनः विनम्रता से बोलते हैं। यहाँ 'प्रश्रितं' (विनम्र) शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है; महातेजस्वी (महातेजा) और शक्तिशाली होते हुए भी, माता सीता के सम्मुख उनका व्यवहार अत्यंत शालीन है। वे जानते हैं कि सीता जी ने बहुत धोखे सहे हैं, इसलिए 'प्रत्ययकारणात्' (विश्वास उत्पन्न करने के कारण से) वे अपनी बात को और पक्का करना चाहते हैं। यह श्लोक हनुमान जी की संवेदनशीलता और बुद्धिमत्ता का परिचायक है।
