वानरो ऽहं महाभागे दूतो रामस्य धीमतः ।
रामनामाङ्कितं चेदं पश्य देव्यङ्गुलीयकम् ।
।
॥५-३६-२॥
Vānaro 'haṃ mahābhāge dūto rāmasya dhīmataḥ । Rāmanāmāṅkitaṃ cedaṃ paśya devyaṅgulīyakam । । ॥5-36-2॥
Translation
O illustrious one! I am a monkey, a messenger of the wise Rama. O Devi, look at this ring marked with Rama's name.

हे महाभागे! मैं वानर हूँ और बुद्धिमान श्रीराम का दूत हूँ। राम के नाम से अंकित इस अंगूठी को देखिए, हे देवी!
English Commentary
This is the climax of the recognition scene. Hanuman presents the ultimate credential: the 'Anguliyakam' (ring). It is described specifically as 'Rama-nama-ankitam' (marked with Rama's name), serving as an irrefutable signature of authenticity. Addressing Sita as 'Mahabhage' (O fortunate one) and 'Devi' (Goddess), he respectfully commands her attention to the object ('Pashya' - look). This ring bridges the physical distance between the separated lovers. By calling Rama 'dhimatah' (wise), implies that Rama has wisely chosen this method and messenger to reach her.

यह सुंदरकाण्ड का अत्यंत भावुक और महत्वपूर्ण क्षण है। हनुमान जी 'महाभागे' (महान भाग्य वाली) कहकर सीता को संबोधित करते हैं, जो उनकी भविष्य की विजय का सूचक है। वे अपना परिचय 'वानर' और 'दूत' के रूप में दोहराते हैं और अंततः 'रामनामाङ्कितं अंगुलीयकम्' (राम के नाम से खुदी हुई अंगूठी) प्रस्तुत करते हैं। यह अंगूठी केवल एक आभूषण नहीं, बल्कि राम की उपस्थिति का प्रतीक है। 'पश्य' (देखो) कहते हुए जब उन्होंने अंगूठी बढ़ाई होगी, तो वह क्षण सीता जी के लिए जीवनदायी सिद्ध हुआ।
