कच्चिच्च लक्ष्मणः शूरः सुमित्रानन्दवर्धनः ।
अस्त्रविच्छरजालेन राक्षसान् विधमिष्यति ।

Kaccicca lakṣmaṇaḥ śūraḥ sumitrānandavardhanaḥ । Astraviccharajālena rākṣasān vidhamiṣyati । ॥5-36-26॥
Translation
Will the brave Lakshmana, the increaser of Sumitra's joy, an expert in weaponry, destroy the demons with a net of arrows?

क्या सुमित्रा का आनंद बढ़ाने वाले, अस्त्रों के ज्ञाता (अस्त्रवित्) वीर लक्ष्मण अपने बाणों के जाल (शरजाल) से राक्षसों का विध्वंस करेंगे?
English Commentary
Sita turns her focus to Lakshmana, the warrior par excellence. She uses the epithet astravit (knower of celestial weapons), acknowledging his superior martial education. She envisions him creating a śarajālena (a net or mesh of arrows), a metaphor for overwhelming firepower that leaves no escape. The verb vidhamiṣyati (will blow away/destroy) suggests she expects him to scatter the Rakshasa army like dust. Despite any past misunderstandings, her faith in Lakshmana's martial capability and loyalty remains unshaken.

सीता जी लक्ष्मण के पराक्रम को भली-भांति जानती हैं। जनस्थान में उन्होंने राम का युद्ध देखा था, अब वे लक्ष्मण की भूमिका के प्रति आश्वस्त होना चाहती हैं। 'अस्त्रवित्' (दिव्य अस्त्रों को जानने वाला) कहकर वे लक्ष्मण की तकनीकी दक्षता को रेखांकित करती हैं। 'शरजालेन' (बाणों के जाल से) का अर्थ है इतनी तीव्र गति से बाण वर्षा करना कि आकाश ढक जाए। सीता जी को विश्वास है कि लक्ष्मण अकेले ही राक्षसों को उड़ा देने ('विधमिष्यति') में सक्षम हैं।
