न त्वामिहस्थां जानीते रामः कमललोचने ।
तेन त्वां नानयत्याशु शचीमिव पुरन्दरः ।

Na tvāmihasthāṃ jānīte rāmaḥ kamalalocane । Tena tvāṃ nānayatyāśu śacīmiva purandaraḥ । । ॥5-36-33॥
Translation
O lotus-eyed one, Rama does not know that you are here. That is why he does not recover you quickly, as Purandara (Indra) did Shachi.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे कमललोचने! राम यह नहीं जानते कि आप यहाँ (लंका में) हैं। इसी कारण वे आपको शीघ्र वैसे नहीं ले जा पा रहे हैं जैसे पुरन्दर (इंद्र) ने शची को पुनः प्राप्त किया था।
English Commentary
Hanuman addresses the core of Sita's anxiety: "Why hasn't he come?" He clarifies that it is a lack of intelligence (knowledge of location), not a lack of will or power. Na... jānīte (he does not know). By comparing Rama to Indra (Purandara) and Sita to Shachi, he implicitly guarantees victory, as Indra famously rescued Shachi from demons. This restores Sita's confidence in Rama's capability, framing the delay as a logistical issue that is now resolved by Hanuman's discovery.

यह श्लोक सीता जी की उस शंका का निवारण करता है कि राम ने अब तक कुछ क्यों नहीं किया। हनुमान जी स्पष्ट करते हैं कि समस्या 'शक्ति' की नहीं, बल्कि 'सूचना' (information) की है। राम को स्थान का ज्ञान नहीं था। हनुमान जी उदाहरण देते हैं इंद्र और शची का, जो विजय और पुनर्प्राप्ति का प्रतीक है। 'कमललोचने' संबोधन का प्रयोग सीता जी को सांत्वना देने और उनकी सुंदरता (जो शोक में भी कम नहीं हुई) की प्रशंसा करने के लिए है। यह एक अत्यंत तार्किक और आश्वस्त करने वाला उत्तर है।
