Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तत्र यद्यन्तरा मृत्युर्यदि देवाः सहासुराः।
स्थास्यन्ति पथि रामस्य स तानपि वधिष्यति ।
।

Tatra yadyantarā mṛtyuryadi devāḥ sahāsurāḥ। Sthāsyanti pathi rāmasya sa tānapi vadhiṣyati । । ॥5-36-36॥
Translation
If Death itself, or the gods along with the demons, were to stand in Rama's path in that interval, he would slay even them.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस मार्ग में यदि बीच में (अन्तरा) साक्षात मृत्यु, या असुरों सहित देवता भी राम के रास्ते में खड़े होंगे, तो वे (राम) उनका भी वध कर देंगे।
English Commentary
A powerful declaration of Rama's invincibility. Hanuman asserts that Rama's mission is now inevitable. By invoking Mṛtyu (Death) and the collective might of devāḥ sahāsurāḥ (gods and demons combined) as hypothetical obstacles, he illustrates the infinite scale of Rama's prowess. It serves to completely eradicate Sita's fear that Ravana might be too strong. The logic is: if Rama can defeat Death, he can certainly defeat Ravana.

यह 'अतिशयोक्ति' नहीं, बल्कि हनुमान जी का 'दृढ़ विश्वास' है। राम के क्रोध और संकल्प के सामने कोई नहीं टिक सकता। हनुमान जी कहते हैं कि रावण तो तुच्छ है; यदि स्वयं मृत्यु या देवता भी राम को रोकने का प्रयास करें (जो वे नहीं करेंगे, पर यदि करें), तो राम उन्हें भी नहीं छोड़ेंगे। यह सीता जी को यह समझाने के लिए है कि अब कोई भी शक्ति उनकी मुक्ति में बाधा नहीं बन सकती। राम का संकल्प सर्वोपरि है।
