चारु तद्वदनं तस्यास्ताम्रशुक्लायतेक्षणम् ।
अशोभत विशालाक्ष्या राहुमुक्त इवोडुराट् ।

Cāru tadvadanaṃ tasyāstāmraśuklāyatekṣaṇam । Aśobhata viśālākṣyā rāhumukta ivoḍurāṭ । । ॥5-36-5॥
Translation
Her beautiful face, with large eyes that were coppery (at the corners), white, and elongated, shone like the Moon released by Rahu.
हिंदी अनुवाद
विशाल नेत्रों वाली सीता का वह सुंदर मुख, जिसके नेत्र लाल (कोनों पर) और श्वेत तथा आयताकार (लम्बे) थे, राहु से मुक्त हुए चन्द्रमा की भाँति सुशोभित हुआ।
English Commentary
Although this verse appears earlier (Verse 86 in the input sequence, or in the previous Sarga), its recurrence here underscores the intensifying stages of Sita's joy. First, she was relieved by the news; now, holding the ring, her radiance is fully established. The simile of the moon released from Rahu (eclipse) is even more potent here. The ring is the physical proof that breaks the eclipse of despair. The description of her eyes reflects the life returning to her; she is no longer the dim, weeping figure, but the radiant Vaidehi, empowered by the connection to her Lord.
हिंदी टीका
यह श्लोक (जो श्लोक 86 के समान ही है) यहाँ पुनः संदर्भ के अनुसार दोहराया गया है। पहले यह हनुमान के वचनों को सुनकर हुए हर्ष के लिए था, यहाँ यह अंगूठी को देखकर हुए परमानंद के लिए प्रयुक्त हुआ है। सीता जी का मुख मंडल, जो विरह के बादलों में छिपा था, अब राम की अंगूठी पाकर पूर्णतः खिल उठा है। उनकी आँखों की चमक और मुख की कांति वैसी ही है जैसे ग्रहण के समाप्त होने पर पूर्णिमा के चाँद की होती है। यह पुनरावृत्ति सीता के आनंद की स्थिरता और गहराई को रेखांकित करती है।
