ज्येष्टा कन्या ऽनला नाम विभीषणसुता कपे ।
तया ममेदमाख्यातं मात्रा प्रहितया स्वयम् ।
।
॥५-३७-११॥
Jyeṣṭā kanyā 'nalā nāma vibhīṣaṇasutā kape । Tayā mamedamākhyātaṃ mātrā prahitayā svayam । । ॥5-37-11॥
Translation
O Monkey, Vibhishana's eldest daughter named Anala was sent here by her mother herself, and it was she who told me this.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे कपि! विभीषण की 'अनला' नामक जो सबसे बड़ी कन्या है, उसे उसकी माता ने स्वयं भेजा था और उसी ने मुझे यह सब बताया है।
English Commentary
This verse provides the source of Sita's intelligence regarding Ravana's council. It shows she was not entirely isolated; she had allies within the enemy's household. Anala, the daughter of Vibhishana, served as a messenger. This indicates a fracture in Ravana's support system, where the womenfolk of his own virtuous brother were secretly aiding the captive Sita, recognizing her divinity and innocence.

यह श्लोक बताता है कि अशोक वाटिका में सीता जी पूरी तरह से कटी हुई नहीं थीं। उनके पास सूचना के गुप्त स्रोत थे। विभीषण की पत्नी (सरमा) और पुत्री (अनला) सीता के प्रति सहानुभूति रखती थीं। अनला का अपनी माँ द्वारा भेजा जाना यह सिद्ध करता है कि लंका के रनिवास में भी रावण के विरुद्ध और सीता के पक्ष में एक वातावरण बन रहा था। यह रावण के पाप के कारण उसके अपने घर में हो रहे विद्रोह का संकेत है।
