Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
शरजालांशुमाञ्छूरः कपे रामदिवाकरः ।
शत्रुरक्षोमयं तोयमुपशोषं नयिष्यति ।
।

Śarajālāṃśumāñchūraḥ kape rāmadivākaraḥ । Śatrurakṣomayaṃ toyamupaśoṣaṃ nayiṣyati । । ॥5-37-16॥
Translation
O Monkey, the hero Rama, acting as the sun with his network of arrows as rays, will dry up the water that consists of the hostile Rakshasas.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे कपि! बाणों के समूह रूपी किरणों वाले, शूरवीर राम रूपी सूर्य, शत्रु राक्षस रूपी जल को सुखा देंगे।
English Commentary
Sita employs a powerful metaphor here. She visualizes Rama as the Sun (Rāmadivākaraḥ). His multitude of arrows acts as the scorching rays (aṃśu). The Rakshasa army is equated to water (toyam). Just as the intense summer sun evaporates water completely, leaving the land dry, Rama will annihilate the demon army. This imagery conveys total destruction and purification of the infected land (Lanka) by the brilliance of Rama's valor.

यह एक सुन्दर रूपक (Metaphor) है। राम 'सूर्य' हैं और उनके बाण 'किरणें' हैं। राक्षसों की सेना 'जल' है। जैसे सूर्य अपनी प्रचंड किरणों से जल को सोख लेता है, वैसे ही राम अपने बाणों से राक्षसों का विनाश कर देंगे। 'उपशोषं नयिष्यति' (सुखा देंगे) का प्रयोग यह बताता है कि युद्ध के बाद राक्षसों का नामो-निशान नहीं रहेगा। सीता की वाणी में अब वीर रस का संचार हो रहा है।
