न हि मे संप्रयातस्य त्वामितो नयतो ऽङ्गने ।
अनुगन्तुं गतिं शक्ताः सर्वे लङ्कानिवासिनः ।
।
॥५-३७-२५॥
Na hi me saṃprayātasya tvāmito nayato 'ṅgane । Anugantuṃ gatiṃ śaktāḥ sarve laṅkānivāsinaḥ । । ॥5-37-25॥
Translation
O lady with beautiful limbs, when I depart taking you from here, none of the inhabitants of Lanka will be able to follow my speed.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे अङ्गने (सुंदरी)! यहाँ से आपको ले जाते हुए जब मैं प्रस्थान करूँगा, तो लंका का कोई भी निवासी मेरी गति का पीछा करने में सक्षम नहीं होगा।
English Commentary
Addressing Sita's potential fear of pursuit, Hanuman asserts his superiority in speed (gati). Being the son of the Wind God, velocity is his greatest asset. He guarantees that once he takes off with her, no inhabitant of Lanka, regardless of their demonic powers, will be capable of catching up to him. This is a strategic reassurance that the escape will be successful solely based on his unmatched speed.

सीता की सुरक्षा की चिंता को दूर करने के लिए हनुमान अपनी 'गति' (speed) का उल्लेख करते हैं। वे जानते हैं कि राक्षसों के पास मायावी शक्तियाँ हैं, लेकिन वे आश्वस्त करते हैं कि वायु-वेग के सामने लंका का कोई भी राक्षस—चाहे वह कितना भी शक्तिशाली क्यों न हो—टिक नहीं पाएगा। 'न अनुगन्तुं शक्ताः' (पीछा करने में समर्थ नहीं) कहकर वे निर्भयता का आश्वासन देते हैं।
