मैथिली तु हरिश्रेष्ठात् श्रुत्वा वचनमद्भुतम् ।
हर्षविस्मितसर्वाङ्गी हनुमन्तमथाब्रवीत् ।

Maithilī tu hariśreṣṭhāt śrutvā vacanamadbhutam । Harṣavismitasarvāṅgī hanūmantamathābravīt । ॥5-37-27॥
Translation
Hearing these amazing words from the best of monkeys, Maithili (Sita), her whole body filled with joy and amazement, spoke to Hanuman.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानरश्रेष्ठ के मुख से ये अद्भुत वचन सुनकर मैथिली (सीता) के समस्त अंगों में हर्ष और विस्मय छा गया और उन्होंने हनुमान से कहा।
English Commentary
Sita's reaction captures her emotional state perfectly. She is filled with both joy (harṣa) at the prospect of rescue and amazement (vismita) at the audacity of the proposal. The phrase adbhutam vacanam (amazing words) indicates that Hanuman's offer to fly her across the ocean seems incredible, especially given his currently disguised, small form. This physical reaction sets the stage for her practical questioning in the next verses.

सीता जी की प्रतिक्रिया मिश्रित है। 'हर्ष' इसलिए क्योंकि हनुमान का प्रस्ताव उनकी मुक्ति का मार्ग खोलता है और 'विस्मय' इसलिए क्योंकि एक छोटा सा वानर (हनुमान अभी सूक्ष्म रूप में हैं) ऐसी विशाल बातें कर रहा है। 'अद्भुतम्' शब्द बताता है कि हनुमान का प्रस्ताव सामान्य बुद्धि से परे था। सीता का रोम-रोम पुलकित हो उठा।
