सपर्वतवनोद्धेशां साट्टप्रकारतोरणाम् ।
लङ्कामिमां सनाथां वा नयितुं शक्तिरस्ति मे ।

॥५-३७-३६॥
Saparvatavanoddeśāṃ sāṭṭaprakāratoraṇām । Laṅkāmimāṃ sanāthāṃ vā nayituṃ śaktirasti me । । ॥5-37-36॥
Translation
"I have the power to carry this entire city of Lanka, along with its mountains, forests, marketplaces, defensive walls, and archways, and even its lord (Ravana)."

"मुझमें पहाड़ों और वनों सहित, अटारियों, चाहदीवारियों और तोरणों (दरवाजों) वाली इस पूरी लंका को, इसके स्वामी (रावण) सहित उठा ले जाने की शक्ति है।"
English Commentary
Hanuman asserts the extent of his physical prowess with a hyperbolic claim. He declares the ability to uproot the entire geographical and architectural mass of Lanka—including its hills, forests, ramparts, and gateways. Crucially, he adds 'sanatham' (with its lord), implying he could carry Ravana himself as a captive along with the city. This statement aims to completely obliterate any lingering doubt Sita might have regarding his strength. It reframes the task: carrying Sita is trivial compared to the feat he is actually capable of performing.

हनुमान जी अपनी शक्ति की पराकाष्ठा का वर्णन करते हैं। वे केवल सीता को ही नहीं, बल्कि पूरी लंका नगरी को उसके भौगोलिक विस्तार (पर्वत, वन) और संरचनाओं (तोरण, प्राकार) सहित उखाड़ फेंकने का दावा करते हैं। 'सनाथां' शब्द विशेष है—इसका अर्थ है 'नाथ सहित' अर्थात रावण सहित। यह अतिशयोक्ति नहीं, बल्कि हनुमान जी का आत्मविश्वास है। वे सीता जी को यह समझाना चाहते हैं कि जब वे पूरी लंका को उठा सकते हैं, तो सीता जी का भार उनके लिए नगण्य है।
