प्राकृतो ऽन्यः कथं चेमां भूमिमागन्तुमर्हति ।
उदधेरप्रमेयस्य पारं वानरपुङ्गव ।

Prākṛto 'nyaḥ kathaṃ cemāṃ bhūmimāgantumarhati । Udadheraprameyasya pāraṃ vānarapuṅgava । । ॥5-37-40॥
Translation
"O bull among monkeys, how could any other ordinary person cross the immeasurable ocean and arrive at this land?"

"हे वानरश्रेष्ठ! तुम्हारे सिवा कोई अन्य साधारण व्यक्ति इस अपरिमित सागर के पार इस भूमि (लंका) में कैसे आ सकता है?"
English Commentary
Sita reinforces her praise by stating that the mere act of arriving in Lanka is proof of his divinity and strength. She uses the term 'prakrita' to refer to ordinary beings, asserting that no commoner could traverse the 'aprameya' (immeasurable) ocean. This rhetorical question serves as an apology for her earlier doubt. She concedes that his presence in the Ashok Vatika is a miracle in itself, distinguishing him from all other beings.

सीता जी तर्क देती हैं कि हनुमान का लंका में पहुँचना ही उनकी असाधारण शक्ति का प्रमाण है। 'प्राकृतो' (साधारण जन) के लिए सौ योजन का समुद्र लांघना असंभव है। वे हनुमान को 'वानरपुङ्गव' (वानरों में श्रेष्ठ/सांड) कहकर सम्मानित करती हैं। सीता जी यह स्पष्ट कर रही हैं कि उन्होंने हनुमान की शक्ति पर जो प्रश्न उठाया था, वह अज्ञानता वश नहीं था, बल्कि परिस्थिति की गंभीरता को देखते हुए था, और अब वह शंका दूर हो गई है।
