अयुक्तं तु कपिश्रेष्ठ मम गन्तुं त्वया ऽनघ ।
वायुवेगसवेगस्य वेगो मां मोहयेत्तव ।
।
॥५-३७-४२॥
Ayuktaṃ tu kapiśreṣṭha mama gantuṃ tvayā 'nagha । Vāyuvegasavegasya vego māṃ mohayettua । ॥5-37-42॥
Translation
"But, O sinless best of monkeys, it is not proper for me to go with you. The speed of your movement, which is equal to the speed of the wind, might cause me to faint."

"किन्तु हे निष्पाप कपिश्रेष्ठ! मेरा तुम्हारे साथ चलना उचित नहीं है। वायु के समान वेग वाले तुम्हारे वेग से मुझे मूर्छा आ सकती है।"
English Commentary
Sita outlines the physiological constraints of the rescue. She addresses Hanuman as 'Anagha' (sinless) to ensure he understands her refusal is not due to propriety issues with him personally, but due to physical limitations. She points out that his flight speed ('vega'), comparable to the wind, would be too intense for her frail body to endure. She fears she might succumb to 'moha' (fainting/dizziness/confusion) during the rapid aerial transport, which would turn the rescue into a disaster.

सीता जी अब व्यावहारिक समस्याएँ गिनाना शुरू करती हैं। वे हनुमान को 'अनघ' (पाप रहित) कहती हैं ताकि यह स्पष्ट हो सके कि वे उनके चरित्र पर संदेह नहीं कर रहीं, बल्कि भौतिक सीमाओं की बात कर रही हैं। 'वायुवेगसवेगस्य'—हनुमान की गति वायु के समान है। सीता जी, जो लंबे समय से उपवास और शोक से दुर्बल हैं, उस तीव्र वेग को सहन नहीं कर सकेंगी। 'मोहयेत्तव' का अर्थ है कि वे उस गति से अचेत हो सकती हैं या घबरा सकती हैं, जिससे यात्रा संकटपूर्ण हो जाएगी।
