अहमाकाशमापन्ना ह्युपर्युपरि सागरम् ।
प्रपतेयं हि ते पृष्ठाद्भयाद् वेगेन गच्छतः ।

Ahamākāśamāpannā hyuparyupari sāgaram । Prapateyaṃ hi te pṛṣṭhādbhayād vegena gacchataḥ । ॥5-37-43॥
Translation
"Having reached the sky high above the ocean, I might indeed fall from your back into the sea out of fear as you move with great speed."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"आकाश में सागर के बहुत ऊपर पहुँचने पर, तीव्र वेग से जाते हुए तुम्हारी पीठ से मैं डर के मारे नीचे गिर सकती हूँ।"
English Commentary
Sita presents a concrete worst-case scenario. Being high up in the sky ('uparyupari') over the deep ocean, the combination of vertigo, fear ('bhaya'), and the g-forces from Hanuman's acceleration could cause her to lose her grip. Falling from his back would mean certain death in the ocean below. Sita demonstrates acute situational awareness; she realizes that despite Hanuman's strength, her own physical weakness and fear are critical failure points in this plan. She refuses to take a risk that could render Rama's efforts futile.

यह सीता जी द्वारा व्यक्त की गई सबसे बड़ी आशंका है। आकाश मार्ग से यात्रा करते समय, नीचे अथाह सागर देखकर भय (Vertigo) और हनुमान की तीव्र गति के कारण संतुलन बिगड़ने का खतरा है। यदि वे हनुमान की पीठ से छूट गईं, तो वे सीधे समुद्र में गिरेंगी जहाँ शार्क और मगरमच्छ हैं। सीता जी एक यथार्थवादी दृष्टिकोण अपना रही हैं। वे जानती हैं कि उत्साह में लिया गया निर्णय प्राणघातक हो सकता है। यह श्लोक उनकी बुद्धिमत्ता और जोखिम के आकलन (Risk assessment) की क्षमता को सिद्ध करता है।
