त्वया हि सह रामस्य महानागमने गुणः ।
॥५-३७-५६॥
Tvayā hi saha rāmasya mahānāgamane guṇaḥ । ॥5-37-56॥
Translation
"Indeed, there is great merit in Rama coming here along with you (rather than me going with you)."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"तुम्हारे साथ (मुझे ले जाने के बजाय) श्री राम के यहाँ आने में ही महान गुण (लाभ) है।"
English Commentary
Sita concludes her strategic refusal by asserting that bringing Rama to Lanka is superior to her escaping from it. The phrase 'Mahan gunah' (great merit/advantage) suggests that this course of action serves a higher purpose. A secret escape would merely solve her personal suffering. However, Rama’s arrival ensures the destruction of the evil Ravana, the vindication of honor, and the establishment of Dharma. Sita prioritizes the restoration of moral order over her immediate physical safety.

सीता जी अपने तर्कों का उपसंहार (conclusion) करती हैं। वे कहती हैं कि चोरी-छिपे भागने (Escape) और युद्ध करके विजय प्राप्त करने (Conquest) में बहुत अंतर है। यदि हनुमान उन्हें ले जाते हैं, तो यह केवल एक बचाव अभियान होगा। किन्तु यदि राम आते हैं, तो यह अधर्म का नाश और धर्म की स्थापना होगी। 'महान गुण' का अर्थ है कि राम के आने से न केवल सीता की मुक्ति होगी, बल्कि रावण के अत्याचार का अंत होगा और राम की कीर्ति तीनों लोकों में फैल जाएगी। यह सीता की व्यापक दृष्टि को दर्शाता है।
