राक्षसानां वधं कृत्वा सूदयित्वा च रावणम् ।
लङ्कामुन्मूलितां कृत्वा कदा द्रक्ष्यति मां पतिः ।

Rākṣasānāṃ vadhaṃ kṛtvā sūdayitvā ca rāvaṇam । Laṅkāmunmūlitāṃ kṛtvā kadā drakṣyati māṃ patiḥ । । ॥5-37-6॥
Translation
When will my husband see me, after having killed the Rakshasas, destroyed Ravana, and uprooted Lanka?
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षसों का वध करके, रावण का विनाश करके और लंका को निर्मूल (तहस-नहस) करके, मेरे पति कब मेरे दर्शन करेंगे?
English Commentary
Here, Sita defines the terms of her rescue, displaying her pride as a warrior's wife. She asks when Rama will see her, but specifically after he has slaughtered the demons, killed Ravana, and uprooted Lanka. She does not desire a stealthy escape; she demands a conquest that restores honor. By listing these violent prerequisites, she affirms her belief in Rama's capability and asserts that their reunion must follow the destruction of Adharma. It is a call to action (Vira Rasa) amidst her pathos (Karuna Rasa).

इस श्लोक में सीता का क्षत्राणी रूप प्रकट होता है। यद्यपि वे राम से मिलने के लिए व्याकुल हैं, फिर भी वे मिलन की शर्त रखती हैं—शत्रु का विनाश। वे यह नहीं कहतीं कि "राम मुझे चुपके से ले जाएँ", बल्कि वे चाहती हैं कि राम 'राक्षसों का वध' करें, 'रावण को मारें' और 'लंका को उजाड़ दें', तभी वे उन्हें देखें। यह उनके स्वाभिमान और राम के पौरुष में उनके विश्वास का प्रतीक है। वे चाहती हैं कि उनका उद्धार धर्म और वीरता के अनुरूप हो।
