श्रुता हि दृष्टाश्च मया पराक्रमा महात्मनस्तस्य रणावमर्दिनः ।
न देवगन्धर्वभुजङ्गराक्षसा भवन्ति रामेण समा हि संयुगे ।

Śrutā hi dṛṣṭāśca mayā parākramā mahātmanastasya raṇāvamardinaḥ । Na devagandharvabhujaṅgarākṣasā bhavanti rāmeṇa samā hi saṃyuge । । ॥5-37-62॥
Translation
"I have heard of and seen the valor of that great soul, the crusher of enemies in battle. Indeed, neither gods, Gandharvas, serpents, nor Rakshasas are equal to Rama in combat."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"मैंने रणभूमि में शत्रुओं को कुचलने वाले उन महात्मा (राम) के पराक्रम सुने भी हैं और देखे भी हैं। युद्ध में देवता, गन्धर्व, नाग या राक्षस—कोई भी राम के समान नहीं हैं।"
English Commentary
Sita substantiates her demand for Rama's arrival by testifying to his martial supremacy. She is an eyewitness ('drishtashcha') to his single-handed destruction of the demon army in Janasthana. By listing powerful beings like Devas and Gandharvas and declaring them unequal to Rama, she assures Hanuman that calling Rama to Lanka is not leading him to a trap, but inviting him to an inevitable victory.

सीता जी हनुमान को आश्वस्त करती हैं कि राम को बुलाना जोखिम भरा नहीं है, क्योंकि वे अपराजेय हैं। उन्होंने जनस्थान में खर-दूषण के वध के समय राम का पराक्रम प्रत्यक्ष देखा है ('दृष्टाश्च')। वे राम की तुलना समस्त लोकों के प्राणियों से करती हैं और निष्कर्ष निकालती हैं कि राम अद्वितीय हैं। यह हनुमान के मन में राम की विजय के प्रति विश्वास जगाने का प्रयास है।
