Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ततः सकपिशार्दूलस्तेन वाक्येन हर्षितः ।
सीतामुवाच तच्छ्रुत्वा वाक्यं वक्यविशारदः ।
।
॥५-३८-१॥
Tataḥ sakapiśārdūlastena vākyena harṣitaḥ । Sītāmuvāca tacchrutvā vākyaṃ vakyaviśāradaḥ । । ॥5-38-1॥
Translation
"Then, that tiger among monkeys (Hanuman), who was skilled in speech, was delighted by those words. Hearing that speech, he spoke to Sita."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"तब, सीता के उन वचनों को सुनकर, वाणी में विशारद (कुशल) वह कपिशार्दूल (हनुमान) उन वचनों से बहुत प्रसन्न हुआ और सीता से बोला।"
English Commentary
Hanuman’s reaction reveals his wisdom. Instead of feeling rejected or offended that his offer was declined, he is 'harshitah' (delighted). As a 'kapi-shardula' (tiger among monkeys) and expert in speech ('vakya-visharada'), he appreciates the depth of Sita's moral fortitude. He recognizes that her refusal preserves the honor of Rama and adheres to the highest code of Dharma. He realizes he has found a truly worthy consort for his Lord.

हनुमान जी की प्रतिक्रिया अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। अपना प्रस्ताव ठुकराए जाने पर उन्हें बुरा नहीं लगा, बल्कि वे 'हर्षित' (प्रसन्न) हुए। क्यों? क्योंकि सीता ने जो तर्क दिए, वे धर्म, नीति और प्रेम की कसौटी पर खरे थे। हनुमान 'वाक्यविशारद' हैं, वे बातों के मर्म को समझते हैं। उन्होंने समझा कि सीता की अस्वीकृति में ही उनकी महानता और राम की विजय का रहस्य छिपा है।
