तस्योपवनषण्डेषु नानापुष्पसुगन्धिषु ।
विहृत्य सलिलक्लिन्ना तवाङ्के समुपाविशम् ।

tasyopavanaṣaṇḍeṣu nānāpuṣpasugandhiṣu । vihṛtya salilaklinnā tavāṅke samupāviśam । । ॥5-38-14॥
Translation
"...Having wandered in the groves there, fragrant with various flowers, and being wet with water, I sat down on your lap."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"...वहां के उपवनों के समूहों में, जो अनेक प्रकार के पुष्पों की सुगंध से भरे थे, विहार (क्रीड़ा) करके, जल से भीगी हुई मैं तुम्हारी गोद में आ बैठी थी।"
English Commentary
This verse marks the pinnacle of the marital intimacy between Rama and Sita. Sita recalls wandering in the fragrant groves and, exhausted after water-sports, sitting on Rama's lap ('tavanke'). This was a deeply private and loving moment. By sharing this, Sita is conveying to Rama through Hanuman that she remains the same Sita who was completely dependent on his love and shelter. The word 'salilaklinna' (wet with water) brings the scene to life. This specific episode is chosen to emotionally stir Rama and remind him of their bond.

यह श्लोक राम और सीता के दांपत्य प्रेम की पराकाष्ठा है। सीता जी याद करती हैं कि कैसे वे वन-विहार कर रही थीं और जल-क्रीड़ा के बाद थककर राम की गोद ('तवाङ्के') में बैठ गई थीं। यह एक अत्यंत निजी और प्रेमपूर्ण क्षण था। यह बताकर सीता हनुमान के माध्यम से राम को यह संदेश दे रही हैं कि वे अभी भी वही सीता हैं जो राम के प्रेम और आश्रय पर पूर्णतः निर्भर थीं। 'सलिलक्लिन्ना' (जल से भीगी हुई) शब्द दृश्य को सजीव बनाता है। यह वृत्तांत राम को भावनात्मक रूप से झकझोरने के लिए चुना गया है।
