न नागा नापि गन्धर्वा नासुरा न मरुद्गणाः ।
रामस्य समरे वेगं शक्ताः प्रतिसमाधितुम् ।
।
॥५-३८-४४॥
na nāgā nāpi gandharvā nāsurā na marudgaṇāḥ । rāmasya samare vegaṃ śaktāḥ pratisamādhitum । । ॥5-38-44॥
Translation
Neither Nagas, nor Gandharvas, nor Asuras, nor the Maruts are capable of withstanding Rama's speed in battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
न नाग, न गन्धर्व, न असुर और न ही मरुद्गण (देवता), युद्ध में राम के वेग को रोकने में समर्थ हैं।
English Commentary
Sita enumerates various powerful celestial and terrestrial beings—Nagas, Gandharvas, Asuras, and Maruts—to illustrate the magnitude of Rama's martial prowess. She asserts that none of these formidable classes can withstand Rama's vega (speed/impulse) in battle. By engaging in this comparison, she dismisses the possibility that the enemy is too strong for Rama. It reinforces the idea that the obstacle preventing her rescue is not external opposition, but rather an internal hesitation or lack of awareness on Rama's part, which she finds perplexing.

सीता जी राम के पराक्रम का वर्णन करते हुए कहती हैं कि त्रिभुवन की कोई भी शक्ति राम के वेग का सामना नहीं कर सकती। यहाँ 'वेग' शब्द राम की युद्ध शैली की तीव्रता को दर्शाता है। यदि देवता और असुर भी उनके सामने नहीं टिक सकते, तो रावण और उसके राक्षस क्या चीज़ हैं? यह श्लोक रावण की शक्ति को तुच्छ सिद्ध करता है और राम की अजेयता को स्थापित करता है। सीता यह आश्वस्त करना चाहती हैं कि शत्रु की शक्ति राम के न आने का कारण नहीं हो सकती।
