कथंचिद्भवती दृष्टा न कालः परिशोचितुम् ।
।
॥५-३८-५१॥
kathaṃcid bhavatī dṛṣṭā na kālaḥ pariśocitum । । ॥5-38-51॥
Translation
Somehow (by great fortune), you have been seen by me. This is not the time to grieve.
हिंदी अनुवाद
किसी प्रकार (बड़े भाग्य से) मैंने आपके दर्शन कर लिए हैं। अब यह शोक करने का समय नहीं है।
English Commentary
Hanuman attempts to pivot Sita's emotional state from despair to hope. The use of kathaṃcid (somehow/with difficulty) acknowledges the immense odds he overcame to find her. His logic is pragmatic: the primary obstacle to her rescue was the lack of intelligence regarding her location. Now that she has been "seen" (dṛṣṭā), the strategic deadlock is broken. He urges her that the time for grief (pariśocitum) is over because the phase of action is about to begin. It marks the turning point from uncertainty to resolution.

हनुमान जी यहाँ सीता जी के मन की दिशा बदलना चाहते हैं। 'कथंचिद्' (किसी तरह/बड़ी कठिनाई से) शब्द यह दर्शाता है कि सीता को ढूँढना असंभव प्रायः था, किन्तु अब जब वे मिल गई हैं, तो सबसे बड़ी बाधा पार कर ली गई है। हनुमान का तर्क व्यावहारिक है: जब तक सीता का पता नहीं था, तब तक राम का निष्क्रिय होना स्वाभाविक था, किन्तु अब 'दर्शन' हो चुके हैं। खोज पूरी हुई, अब अभियान शुरू होगा। इसलिए, शोक को त्यागकर अब आशा का संचार होना चाहिए। यह एक सकारात्मक मनोविज्ञान का प्रयोग है।
