त्वद्दर्शनकृतोत्साहौ लङ्कां भस्मीकरिष्यतः ।

tvaddarśanakṛtotsāhau laṅkāṃ bhasmīkariṣyataḥ । । ॥5-38-53॥
Translation
...inspired (energized) by the news of seeing you, will turn Lanka to ashes.

...आपके दर्शन (की सूचना) से उत्साहित होकर लंका को भस्म कर देंगे।
English Commentary
Continuing from the previous verse, Hanuman explains the mechanism of the coming rescue. The news of finding Sita will act as the catalyst, transforming Rama's grief into utsāha (energy/martial enthusiasm). He predicts total destruction—not just a rescue mission, but the reduction of Lanka to ashes (bhasmīkariṣyataḥ). This visualization of total victory is meant to empower Sita and assure her that the reaction to her abduction will be overwhelming and decisive.

यह श्लोक पिछले श्लोक (52) का पूरक है। हनुमान स्पष्ट करते हैं कि राम और लक्ष्मण की निष्क्रियता का कारण उदासी थी, लेकिन सीता के मिलने की खबर उनके लिए 'उत्साह' (ऊर्जा) का काम करेगी। 'त्वद्दर्शनकृतोत्साहौ'—अर्थात आपके दर्शन से उत्पन्न उत्साह। हनुमान प्रतिज्ञा करते हैं कि परिणाम केवल रावण का वध नहीं, बल्कि पूरी लंका का विध्वंस ('भस्मीकरिष्यतः') होगा। यह सीता के मन में शत्रुओं के विनाश का विश्वास जगाता है।
