कारणैर्बहुभिर्देवि रामप्रियचिकीर्षया ।
स्नेहप्रस्कन्नमनसा मयैतत् समुदीरितम् ।

kāraṇairbahubhirdevi rāmapriyacikīrṣayā । snehapraskannamanasā mayaitat samudīritam । । ॥5-38-7॥
Translation
"O Devi! Desiring to do what is pleasing to Rama, and with a mind melted by affection, as well as for many other reasons, I made this proposal."

"हे देवि! राम का प्रिय करने की इच्छा से और स्नेह से पिघले हुए मन के कारण, तथा अन्य कई कारणों से मैंने यह (आपको पीठ पर ले जाने का) प्रस्ताव रखा था।"
English Commentary
Hanuman clarifies the intention behind his proposal here so that Sita does not misunderstand him as doubting her capacity or intending to violate boundaries. The phrase 'snehapraskannamanasa' (with a mind melted by affection) is beautifully evocative, showing that Hanuman's heart was filled with motherly devotion and compassion for her suffering. His sole desire was to please Rama ('Ramapriyachikirshaya') and end Sita's ordeal. This verse highlights the pure emotional bond between the devotee (Bhakta) and the divine couple, devoid of any selfish motive.

हनुमान जी यहाँ अपने प्रस्ताव के पीछे की मंशा स्पष्ट कर रहे हैं ताकि सीता जी यह न समझें कि उन्होंने उनकी क्षमता पर संदेह किया या मर्यादा का उल्लंघन करना चाहा। 'स्नेहप्रस्कन्नमनसा' (स्नेह से द्रवित मन) एक अत्यंत सुंदर प्रयोग है, जो दर्शाता है कि हनुमान के हृदय में सीता के प्रति माता समान भक्ति और दया का भाव है। उनकी एकमात्र इच्छा राम को प्रसन्न करना ('रामप्रियचिकीर्षया') और सीता के कष्टों का अंत करना था। यह श्लोक भक्त और भगवान के बीच के भावनात्मक संबंध को उजागर करता है।
